Better than Joe Cocker himself. I had the honor of seeing Tom perform this song. It was awesome and brought a huge grin to my face. I will ALWAYS remember that.

When Tom played 'Ringo' in the Rubber Soul (Beatles Tribute Band), he would sing "With A Little Help From My Friends'" the original version. Often, during the song, his face would suddenly start to contort and his voice would change and the next few lyrics were Joe Cockers' version!! The band and audience got a kick out of that! A magnificent Jekyll and Hyde impersonation. What an actor! What a guy!! This short film is priceless! Great expression!
Heard about Tommy's passing late Wed. night. I was shocked and saddened, and the next morning was difficult at my long term sub job. Thursday night, Lin and I toasted Tommy at our home in New Hampshire. I knew Tommy for over 25 years, MUSD, Balding Brothers, and mutual friends and parties. Lin met him 15 years ago, and we both were profoundly touched by this wonderful human being. Several years ago, Lin & I were in CO for a motorcycle rally. We visited Joe Cocker's place, and brought back a souvenier for Tommy. Thurs. night, Lin changed the music and we sat and listened to Joe Cocker--our mini tribute to Tommy. Never did I realize what an impact Tommy had on my life. His zest, his ready smile, and his amazing warmth and goodness radiated to all around him. My special joy was when the Balding Brothers began playing Mustang Sally, and all the girls got to go up and sing. I can easily see Tommy in my mind, hear his voice, feel his warmth, hear him sing. (No one in my life who has passed, has left such an imprint.) He's with us. Thank you, Tommy, and thank you Friends for providing a place to share. Much love and prayers to you, Amy & Lindsay.
